The commune possesses a remarkable natural heritage, a Natura 2000 site (le Lez) and three natural zones of ecological, faunal and floral interest.
A little history
The first human occupation dates back to the final Neolithic period (around 3,000 years BC), when knapped flints, bone tools and characteristic ceramics were discovered on a site that was in all likelihood a flint-knapping location. The territory of the commune was also occupied during the Chalcolithic period (2,500 years BC).
