How to read a commune
The key is the INSEE code, never the name: French commune names are not unique, and a large commune carries several postal codes.

- They come from DVF, the register of property transfers published as open data by the French tax authority. They are signed sale prices, not asking prices.
- The database covers sales recorded from 1 January 2023 to 31 December 2025.
- The vintage we hold is the second half of 2025, loaded on 24 April 2026.
- Below 25 sales over twelve months, no price is published at all: the endpoint answers 404, and says why.
- No minimum and no maximum, ever. An extreme value IS an identifiable transaction, and republishing it falls under article R. 112 A-3 of the French Book of Tax Procedures.
