Complaints and reporting
Your rights, your voice. BRIVEO provides several free channels to report illegal content, contest a decision, or refer your case to a mediator. These procedures follow Regulation (EU) 2022/2065 (DSA) and the French Consumer Code.
1. Report illegal content (DSA, Article 16)
Anyone, whether or not they have a BRIVEO account, can report a listing that appears to be illegal. The following categories are accepted.
- Illegal content (hate speech, harassment, fraud)
- Misleading price or concealment of fees
- Misleading description (surface area, condition, situation)
- Fake listing or scam
- Discrimination (origin, sex, age, disability, family situation)
- Privacy violation (photos without consent)
- Copyright (stolen photo, copied floor plan)
How to proceed? On the listing page for the property concerned, click the "Report this listing" button. You can also write directly to moderation@briveo.fr specifying the listing URL and the nature of the problem.
2. Contest a decision (DSA, Article 20)
If you have been subject to a moderation decision (listing removal, account suspension, registration refusal), you can contest it free of charge within six months. The request is reviewed by a person other than the one who made the initial decision.
Send your appeal to recours@briveo.fr attaching the contested decision and your arguments.
Review
Review within fourteen days by a BRIVEO agent other than the one behind the initial decision, with a reasoned decision.
Response
Reasoned response by email. If it does not satisfy you, external recourse remains possible (mediator, courts).
3. Consumer mediator (Article L.616-1 of the French Consumer Code)
If your written complaint to BRIVEO remains without a satisfactory answer for thirty days, you can refer your case free of charge to the consumer mediator. Mediation is an amicable, free process, and does not prevent you from taking the matter to court afterwards.
