Frequently asked questions about managing agents
- How do I find out who manages my building?
- Enter the building's address above. We query the French national register of condominiums, a public database in which every managing agent declares the condominiums it manages, and we return the agent's name together with the registration number.
- Is this tool free?
- Yes, entirely, and without sign-up. We ask for no account and no email address, and we do not keep the address you searched for.
- Where does this information come from?
- From the French national register of condominiums, kept by the Agence nationale de l'habitat and published as open data. Every condominium used at least partly for housing must be registered there.
- Why does my condominium not appear?
- Three possible reasons: the condominium has not been registered yet, the address declared in the register differs from the one you entered, or several condominiums share that address. In that case, add the street number and the town.
- Is the information up to date?
- The register reflects the last declaration made by the managing agent. If your condominium changed agent recently, the register may lag behind: your latest call for funds or your latest notice of general meeting then prevails.
- I am selling my lot: what do I need from the managing agent?
- Article L.721-2 of the French Construction Code requires the seller to hand the buyer the financial information of the lot and of the condominium before the preliminary sale agreement. In practice this means the annual statement of charges, the statement of your individual account, the accounting appendices and the minutes of general meetings.
