Villegly is a French commune, situated in the north of the Aude département in the Occitanie region. From a historical and cultural standpoint, the commune forms part of the Minervois, a land of low hills stretching from the Cabardès, to the west, to the Biterrois to the east, and from the Montagne Noire, to the north, as far as the river Aude to the south. Exposed to a Mediterranean climate, it is drained by the Clamoux, the ruisseau de la Ceize and by various other small watercourses.
