Siran (in Occitan Sira) is a French commune situated in the south-west of the département of Hérault, in the Occitanie region. Exposed to a Mediterranean climate, it is drained by the Cesse, the Espène, the Ognon, the ruisseau de l'Androgoul and by various other small watercourses. Included in the parc naturel régional du Haut-Languedoc, the commune possesses a remarkable natural heritage, two Natura 2000 sites (the «causses du Minervois» and the «Minervois») and two natural areas of ecological, faunal and floral interest.
