A little history
In the 6th century, Rozoy is mentioned in the account of the miracles of Saint Gibrien. In 1595, Charles Ier de Gonzague married Catherine de Lorraine. Occupied for two months by the Spanish in 1651, the town was ruined, and was pillaged in 1653 by the troops of Condé. In 1654, the lands of Rosoy and Rethel were elevated to a duché-pairie for Louis de Gonzague. In 1659, Charles II de Gonzague sold Rosoy and Rethel to the Cardinal de Mazarin.
