Puichéric (in Occitan Puegeric) is a French commune situated in the north of the département of Aude, in the region of Occitanie. From a historical and cultural standpoint, the commune forms part of the Minervois, a land of low hills that stretches from the Cabardès in the west to the Biterrois in the east, and from the Montagne Noire in the north to the river Aude in the south. Exposed to a Mediterranean climate, it is drained by the canal du Midi, the Aude, the Rascas and by one other watercourse.
