A little history
In the 14th century, a number of farmers settled and built the first farms at la Thona (known today as la Tonnaz). These were therefore the first inhabitants of what would much later become le Pratz de Megève, and then Praz-sur-Arly. These first farms were built, quite logically, on the sunniest slope of the valley, the adret. They were few in number, but the extent of the cleared land bears witness to the desire for expansion.
