A little history
Saint Envel, a hermit of Welsh origin, and his sister Sainte Yuna are said to have lived in Plounévez-Moëdec, then in Loc-Envel, in the 6th century. The château de Porz an parc belonged in 1350 to Alexandre de Kergariou, knight, lord of Porz an parc, who married Marie de Lannion. Alexandre de Kergariou, one of his descendants, was appointed to the governorship of Morlaix by letters from King Henri III, issued in Paris on 18 July 1586. The chapelle de Keramanac'h was founded in the 12th century by the Hospitallers of the Order of Saint-Jean de Jérusalem, which is why it was originally dedicated to Saint Jean.
