Pezens is a French commune situated in the département of Aude, in the région of Occitanie. The architectural heritage of the commune includes two listed buildings protected as monuments historiques, the chapelle de la Madeleine, listed in 1949, and the château de Pech Redon, listed in 2022. According to abbé Edmond Baichère (a learned man from Bagnols and curé of Carcassonne, 1857-1926), Pezens also bore the name Voisins from 1670 to 1831, a name to be linked to its lords who came from the family de Voisins.
