Pexiora, Puègsiuran in Occitan, is a French commune situated in the north-west of the département of Aude, in the région of Occitanie. In historical and cultural terms, the commune forms part of the Lauragais, the former « Pays de Cocagne », linked both to the cultivation of pastel and to the abundance of its produce, and known as the « grenier à blé du Languedoc ». Exposed to a Mediterranean climate, it is drained by the canal du Midi, the ruisseau de Tréboul, the ruisseau de la Fontaine de Besplas, the ruisseau de Mairevieille and the ruisseau de Mézeran.
