A little history
Before the French Revolution, the current location of the commune was occupied by the grounds of the château d'Avron (situated in Rosny-sous-Bois). The commune of Neuilly-Plaisance was created in 1892 from the territory of Neuilly-sur-Marne. From 1887, the town was served by the tram line Vincennes - Ville-Evrard, belonging to the Chemins de fer nogentais, one of the first tram lines to run out of Paris (alongside those of Saint-Germain en Laye and of Sèvres to Versailles). Traction was by compressed air, using Mékarski self-propelled cars, then electric after 1900.
