Exposed to a Mediterranean climate, it is drained by the Dourbie, the ruisseau du Lieutre and by various other small watercourses. The commune possesses a remarkable natural heritage, a Natura 2000 site (le Salagou) and two natural zones of ecological, faunal and floral interest.
