La Redorte (La Redòrta in Occitan) is a French commune situated in the north of the département of Aude, in the Occitanie region. From a historical and cultural standpoint, the commune forms part of the Minervois, a land of low hills stretching from the Cabardès to the west, to the Biterrois to the east, and from the Montagne Noire to the north, as far as the river Aude to the south. Exposed to a Mediterranean climate, it is drained by the canal du Midi, the Aude, the Argent-Double, the ruisseau de Naval and various other small watercourses.
