A little history
A cavity known as the « Tônne dé Feulapes » beneath the rocks of the crête d'Hirmentaz, identified before the war, and the discovery of a flint axe dated to 3,500 BC suggest at least nomadic occupation by Neanderthals. The discovery of bronze objects at Habère-Lullin attests to more sustained occupation during the late Bronze Age and then the Gallo-Roman period following the surrender of the Allobroges in 121 BC.
