The commune was created from the merger of the communes of Aviernoz, Évires, Les Ollières, Saint-Martin-Bellevue and Thorens-Glières, which became delegated communes on 1 January 2017. Its administrative centre is located at Thorens-Glières. However, Aviernoz, Évires, Les Ollières and Saint-Martin-Bellevue retain in particular their civil registry functions and the issuing of opinions on planning matters.
