Creissan (in Occitan Creissan) is a French commune situated in the south-west of the département of Hérault in the Occitanie region. Exposed to a Mediterranean climate, it is drained by the Lirou, the ruisseau de Nègue Fédès, the ruisseau des Vallouvières and by various other small watercourses. The commune possesses a remarkable natural heritage, a Natura 2000 site (the « Minervois ») and a natural zone of ecological, faunal and floral interest.
