Coincy is a French commune situated in the département of Aisne in the Hauts-de-France region.
A little history
Prehistoric remains have been discovered in the commune, including a Tardenoisian workshop at La sablonnière. Traces of Gaulish settlement at La sablonnière and other Gallo-Roman traces were revealed by the discovery of shards and pottery at the lieu-dits champ saint martin and Borne dame Alix, as well as a Gallo-Roman villa at La couture. During the First World War, the village suffered significant destruction and was awarded the Croix de guerre 1914-1918 on 22 October 1920.
