Bouleternère (Bulaternera in Catalan) is a commune situated in the centre of the département of Pyrénées-Orientales, in the Occitanie region. From a historical and cultural standpoint, the commune lies within the region of the Aspres, a minuscule Roussillonnais territory between the furrows of the Têt to the north and the Tech to the south, which takes its name from the stony nature of its soils. Exposed to a Mediterranean climate, it is drained by the Têt and the Boulès.
