Thiembronne is a French commune situated in the département of Pas-de-Calais in the region of Hauts-de-France. Its inhabitants are called the Thiembronnois. Its population is 815 inhabitants at the 2023 census, and it reached a peak population in 1841 with 1,082 inhabitants.
A little history
Thiembronne was formerly one of the twelve baronies of the county of Boulogne. Around 1170–1174, Guy de Thiembronne attended, at Guînes, the public reading of the letters of the count of Guînes Baudouin II de Guînes, setting out the agreement between the abbaye Saint-Médard d'Andres and Guillaume du pays de Bredenarde. At the end of the 12th century and the beginning of the 13th century, Clerembaut de Thiembronne was lord of the place. His son was Guillaume de Thiembronne, who married Mahaut de Guînes, daughter of Baudouin II de Guînes.
