A town in the Charente limousine area, known for its tile-making industry since the 19th century, it is home to the largest production centre in Europe in the village of Roumazières.
A little history
On 1 January 2019, the commune was born through the merger of the communes of Genouillac, Mazières, La Péruse, Roumazières-Loubert and Suris. The creation was confirmed by a prefectural order dated 28 September 2018.
