A little history
The community was erected as an independent parish by Pierre II de la Chapelle, bishop of Paris, in February 1213, by separation from the parish of Saint-Léger, through a charter of the abbaye de Saint-Denis. In 1315, Stains had a leper house. In the 15th century, it was established as a seigneury. The church dates in part from the 16th century.
