It was born from the merger of the former communes of Aviré, Le Bourg-d'Iré, La Chapelle-sur-Oudon, Châtelais, La Ferrière-de-Flée, L'Hôtellerie-de-Flée, Louvaines, Marans, Montguillon, Noyant-la-Gravoyère, Nyoiseau, Sainte-Gemmes-d'Andigné, Saint-Martin-du-Bois, Saint-Sauveur-de-Flée and Segré, which became delegated communes.
A little history
The new commune of Segré-en-Anjou Bleu came into being on 15 December 2016 following a prefectoral order of creation dated 30 September 2016. It brings together the communes of Aviré, Le Bourg-d'Iré, La Chapelle-sur-Oudon, Châtelais, La Ferrière-de-Flée, L'Hôtellerie-de-Flée, Louvaines, Marans, Montguillon, Noyant-la-Gravoyère, Nyoiseau, Sainte-Gemmes-d'Andigné, Saint-Martin-du-Bois, Saint-Sauveur-de-Flée and Segré, which became delegated communes with Segré as the chief town. For history prior to 2016, reference should be made to the articles devoted to the former merged communes.
