A little history
The first mention of the parish of Sainte-Pazanne dates back to 1284. Gallo-Roman ruins were discovered in the village of Bois. Monks from the abbaye Stavelot-Malmédy (located in the Ardennes) settled as early as the 7th century on the banks of the Tenu, in a place that took the name of Ardennes and which is said to have been given by Sigebert III. They founded a priory there, the prieuré d'Ardennes.
