Roubaix is a French commune situated in the département du Nord, in the Hauts-de-France region. A little history
The town of Roubaix is mentioned as early as 897 and appears for the first time on maps from the 9th century. Roubaix forms part of the Flandre romane and falls within the diocese of Tournai. In 1202, Otbert de Roubaix took part in the fourth crusade. His name appears in the second room of the crusades at the château de Versailles.
