Plœuc-L'Hermitage [plœk lɛʁmitaʒ] is a French commune located in the département of Côtes-d'Armor in the region of Bretagne. It was created on 1 January 2016 through the merger of the former communes of L'Hermitage-Lorge and Plœuc-sur-Lié, which became its delegated communes. It contains a significant natural heritage, with five ZNIEFF recorded within its territory.
A little history
In order in particular to avoid the planned reduction in global operating grants paid by the State between 2015 and 2017, and to secure guarantees for the rural solidarity grant, the municipalities of Plœuc-sur-Lié (3,293 inhabitants) and L'Hermitage-Lorge (753 inhabitants) considered in 2015 merging their communes to create a new commune. After both municipal councils formally requested the merger in September 2015, the prefect signed on 30 September 2015 the order creating the new commune on 1 January 2016. The administrative seat of the new territorial authority is located at Place Louis-Morel on the territory of the former commune of Plœuc.
