Plémet ([plemɛ], named Les Moulins until 31 December 2017) is a French commune nouvelle situated in the département of Côtes-d'Armor, in the région of Bretagne. It was created on 1 January 2016 from the merger of the two communes of Plémet and La Ferrière.
A little history
According to Jean-Yves Eveillard, the village is thought to have been established on the route of an ancient road from Rennes to Carhaix, which crossed the road from Vannes to Corseul at the lieu-dit of Breil Thual. Les Forges du Vaublanc were created by François de Farcy in 1671. They developed thanks to the proximity of iron mines, to forest estates and to the energy of the Lié. In 1770, the forges produced 500 tonnes of cast iron and 800 of iron.
