A little history
La commune nouvelle d'Orée d'Anjou naît le 15 décembre 2015 de la fusion des neuf communes de la communauté de communes du canton de Champtoceaux, à savoir Bouzillé, Champtoceaux, Drain, Landemont, Liré, Saint-Christophe-la-Couperie, Saint-Laurent-des-Autels, Saint-Sauveur-de-Landemont et La Varenne, après les délibérations favorables des conseils municipaux intervenues entre le 1er et le 8 juillet 2015, et l'arrêté préfectoral du 23 novembre 2015 qui s'en est suivi. Les anciennes communes deviennent des communes déléguées au sein de la commune nouvelle. Son chef-lieu est fixé à Champtoceaux.
