It was created on 15 December 2015 from the grouping of the former communes of La Boissière-sur-Èvre, Chaudron-en-Mauges, La Chaussaire, Le Fief-Sauvin, Le Fuilet, Montrevault, Le Puiset-Doré, Saint-Pierre-Montlimart, Saint-Quentin-en-Mauges, Saint-Rémy-en-Mauges and La Salle-et-Chapelle-Aubry.
A little history
The new commune of Montrevault-sur-Èvre was born by prefectoral decree on 5 October 2015 through the merger on 15 December of the same year of the eleven communes of the community of communes Montrevault Communauté, namely La Boissière-sur-Èvre, Chaudron-en-Mauges, La Chaussaire, Le Fief-Sauvin, Le Fuilet, Montrevault, Le Puiset-Doré, Saint-Pierre-Montlimart, Saint-Quentin-en-Mauges, Saint-Rémy-en-Mauges and La Salle-et-Chapelle-Aubry. The former communes became delegated communes. The chief town was set at Montrevault. For the history prior to 2015, one should refer to the articles devoted to the former merged communes.
