A little history
Human presence is attested in the Neolithic period by the dolmen de la Roche aux Loups, a remnant of a prehistoric burial site. After the conquest of Gaul by Jules César, this region formed part of the city of the Namnètes (but is very close to the city of the Vénètes). The passage of a Roman road is attested. During the period of the duché de Bretagne, the château de la Bretesche, initially a fortified castle, was built from the 14th century onwards.
