A little history
"There are relatively few documents on the origins of Loctudy." Based on the megalithic remains present on the territory of the commune, human occupation dates back to the Neolithic period. This is attested by the presence of the Menhir mouillé de Penglaouic, in leucogranite from Pont-l'Abbé, listed as a monument historique in 1974. Situated today in the river of Pont-l'Abbé, it is therefore visible to varying degrees depending on the tides and attests to the rise in water levels since the Neolithic period. A passage dolmen partially emerges from the sand during periods of low sand coverage on the beach of Ezer.
