A little history

Between the 4th and 3rd millennium BC, people built cairns such as that of Barnenez, not far from Morlaix. Morlaix, which during the Gaulish period formed part of the territory of the Osismes, was originally an oppidum later transformed into a Roman castrum, situated on the hill of the « Parc-au-Duc », which overlooks the ria du Dossen and is located to the south-west of the centre of the present-day town, in the western part of the confluence peninsula formed by the Jarlot and the Queffleuth.
