Lézardrieux [lezaʁdʁijø] (in Breton, Lezardrev) is a French commune situated in the département des Côtes-d'Armor, in the region of Bretagne.
A little history
The site has been occupied since Prehistory, then during the Gallo-Roman period, as suggested by the substructures of Castel-ar-Hoc. Lézardrieux has several archaeological sites. These include Coz-Castel (the enclosure of Coatmen, a Gaulish camp and salt furnace, later occupied by the Romans), the fisheries (gored) of Lédano and of the Île à Bois, and the feudal motte of the village, the latter dating from the Middle Ages. Lézardrieux is historically part of the Trégor. The priory of Liscadreuc (La Magdeleine), dependent on the abbaye de Saint-Jacut and the évêché de Dol, was founded in the Early Middle Ages (recorded in 1339).
