Le Mesnil-Saint-Denis is a French commune situated in the département des Yvelines in the Île-de-France region, located 28 km south-west of Paris. It should not be confused with le Mesnil-Saint-Denis, which became Le Mesnil-en-Thelle (Oise) after 1911.
A little history
In 768, Pépin le Bref gave the monks of the abbaye de Saint-Denis a fief in the forêt des Yvelines. They established their seat on the current site of the commune, more precisely at the forteresse de Beaurain. The name Mesnil-Saint-Denis appeared in the 12th century. In 1543, a procureur du Parlement, Philippe Habert, acquired a house and land at Le Mesnil.
