A little history
On 26 November 2018, a prefectoral order established the commune on 1 January 2019. Le Controis-en-Sologne is thus the merger of five communes, namely Contres, Feings, Fougères-sur-Bièvre, a former lordship vassal to the Comte de Blois, famous for its former fortress destroyed during the Hundred Years War and rebuilt during the Renaissance, Ouchamps and Thenay.
