A little history
Around 1096, Catherine de Roubaix, dame of Estaires and of the Motte de La Gorgue as the daughter and heiress of Jean de Roubaix and Liévine d'Herzeele et d'Oudenhove, married Raoul d'Haverskerque. In 1199, Gisbert or Gilbert, seigneur of Estaires and of the Motte de La Gorgue, married Nathalie, daughter of Pierre, seigneur de la Viefville. In 1303, Philippe, seigneur d'Haverskerque, d'Estaires and of the Motte de La Gorgue, married Adèle, daughter of Charles, hereditary Marshal of Flanders.
