A little history
In 1096–1099, Guillaume Moran de Honschoote was seigneur of Hondschoote. He took part alongside Raoul de Lederzelle in the first crusade led by Godefroy de Bouillon. Baudouin de Hondescote, son of Guillaume Moran, married Mahaut de Guînes, daughter of Arnould Ier de Guînes. François de Hondschoote, seigneur d'Hondschoote, fought and met his death at the battle of Azincourt in 1415.
