A little history
In the 16th century, Guilers was part of the sénéchaussée of Brest and Saint-Renan. Louise de Keroual (1649-1734), daughter of Hervé de Penancoët, seigneur de Keroual, was the mistress of the King of England Charles II and duchesse de Portsmouth. Her sister, Henriette Mauricette (1655-1728), was comtesse de Pembroke and, in a second marriage, marquise de Tual. In 1680 the seigneurie de Keroual belonged to Guillaume de Penancoët, who also owned Menovalet, le Stiffel and Kerovalze.
