A little history
During Prehistory, local populations built several megaliths of significance (Landaoudec, Ménesguen), now destroyed or currently being excavated. The same applies to several megalithic alignments (alignement de Lostmarc'h, menhirs de Raguenez), menhirs and dolmens. The dolmen de Rostudel is the only dolmen preserved in a reasonably good state in the entire commune. The first prehistoric trepanned skull found in France was discovered in 1843 at Lostmarc'h during excavations, directed by the chevalier de Fréminville, of a cemetery containing dozens of skeletons unearthed following a storm.
