Exposed to a Mediterranean climate, it is drained by the ruisseau du Coulazou, the ruisseau de la Billière and by various other small watercourses.
A little history
Cournonterral as well as the territories of its commune have been inhabited for millennia. Prehistoric humans left traces of their presence there.
