A little history
The château, of which only a few remains survive, belonged to Marguerite d'Orléans, and then to her son François II. In the centre of the village stands the maison la Gazoire, where the same François II died. A plaque is affixed to this dwelling, in which the duc de Bretagne François II, in 1488, signed the peace treaty between Brittany and France. A glassmaking industry developed during the reign of Louis XVI.
