Combs-la-Ville (prononcé) is a French commune situated in the département of Seine-et-Marne in the Île-de-France region. The commune belongs to the new town of Sénart.
A little history
In 636, King Dagobert bequeathed his land of Combs (cumbis) to the abbaye de Saint-Vincent, which would later be named Saint-Germain-des-Prés. In 1783, the comte de Provence, younger brother of King Louis XVI and future King Louis XVIII, was the owner of Combs-la-Ville. The gare de Combs-la-Ville - Quincy was inaugurated on 12 August 1849, then rebuilt in 1981.
