A little history
In 855, the territory formed a large parish whose patron saint was saint Georges. However, the designation of Bussy-Saint-Georges did not appear until the 13th century. The name Bussy comes from Buscus on account of the proximity of the forest and the numerous copses that surrounded the village. In the Middle Ages, Bussy-Saint-Martin and Bussy-Saint-Georges formed one and the same seigneury governed by the seigneurs de Bucy.

Selling in Bussy-Saint-Georges
Pricing in Bussy-Saint-Georges starts by placing your property inside the €3,954 to €4,833 band rather than on the median alone. The median describes the middle of the market; condition, floor, outdoor space and energy rating decide where in the band you sit.
With 326 sales a year, Bussy-Saint-Georges absorbs correctly priced properties. An over-ambitious price shows quickly, because buyers have points of comparison.
Briveo values your Bussy-Saint-Georges property from the same DVF file, keeping only sales of comparable properties closest to your address, free of charge and with no obligation, then supports the sale through to the deed.
Buying in Bussy-Saint-Georges
Reading the €3,954 to €4,833 band is a buyer’s main tool in Bussy-Saint-Georges. A property at the bottom is not a bargain and one at the top is not a rip-off, the band measures how different the properties are, not how well they are priced.
Acquisition costs are budgeted on top of the price, around 8 % on an existing property, around 3 % on a new one. These are orders of magnitude; the notary computes the exact amount.
A stable market usually means a negotiation decided by the property itself rather than by any general trend.
