A little history
Although the region was inhabited from prehistoric times, nothing has been found in Bully-les-Mines. The oldest discovery is a Celtic bracelet. Gallo-Roman finds are, however, numerous. Bully-les-Mines belongs to the Pagus Silvinus, an administrative region of the Atrébates, the future Gohelle.
