A little history
The église Saint-Denis was built in 1150. The village surrounding it was dominated by the bell tower of this church and by the windmill. In the 17th century, the territory of Avion covered 1,075 ha. The crops grown were principally wheat, rye, barley, oats and œillette (a cereal from which oil was extracted).
