A little history
The parish of Villennes was created in 1007. The construction of the église Saint-Nicolas began in the 11th century and was completed in the 12th century under the initiative of the abbaye de Saint-Germain-des-Prés. The church served as a parish for the neighbouring villages of Médan and Flacourt. The church was partially destroyed during the Hundred Years War, leaving the apse and the transept in ruins.
