A little history
Vasles has several prehistoric remains including finely worked stone tools in an excellent state of conservation, known as hache à talon. These axes originate from the barbarian territories of northern Germany and are dated to the middle Bronze Age or the beginning of the late Bronze Age, that is to say between 1600 and 1300 BC. In 1925, during ploughing near an old path, a deposit containing numerous hache à talon as well as numerous vessels proved the settlement of a population in that period.
