A little history
The mont Châtelet was occupied intermittently from the Neolithic period through to the early Middle Ages. From the earliest period, three atypical flint flakes were found there along with various other flint flakes. The mont Châtelet was fortified with an internal embankment, probably during the Gallo-Roman era. After that the site was abandoned until the 12th century.
