A little history
Gallo-Roman presence. Village of the former duchy of Lorraine, which depended on the fief, the prévôté and the bailliage of Nancy. The locality of Saulxures is ancient, as a lord of that name (Théodoricus de Saussuriis) appears in the confirmation of the possessions of the abbaye de Beaupré by the duc Simon, in 1176. In 1710, there was a fief and a seigneurial house which was inhabited by the famille de Rutant.
